A. It's common for a 4.5-month-old baby to spit up milk, especially after feeds. This is usually due to an immature digestive system or swallowing air while feeding. As long as your baby is gaining weight, active, and not in discomfort, it’s generally not a concern. To reduce spitting up, feed in an upright position, burp her well after every feed, and avoid overfeeding. Keep her upright for 20–30 minutes after feeding. If the spit-up is forceful, green, or accompanied by poor weight gain or irritability, consult your pediatrician to rule out reflux or other issues.
