I hv used nipple shield due to flat nipples.now i m trying to breastfeed without nipple shield.my baby can latch properly but i hv severe pain in nipple when he latches.I consult with my doctor she said because nipple shield is large and ur nipple is small so baby get use to with large nipple and when u breastfeed directly on ur nipple baby sucks hard because baby mindset with large nipple so he sucks with same pressure on ur nipple and ur nipple gets hurt.
Is it true?If true please give solution so i can breast feed my baby without pain.

but with regular position attachment change the child will get used to your nipple also
