HomeQuestions & AnswersHello Expert,
From the past 2-3 days, my baby takes proper 20-30 min feed, then burps, seems calm and then drifts off to sleep. After that, when I transfer him to his bed, he will become restless and ask for feed again. He again takes a good 20-30 min feed, burps and then sleeps. Is this normal? Initially, he used to take one feed at one time.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist1 Year agoA. hello dear mum this is fine
breastmilk has sleep inducing properties so baby may dooze off to sleep and then again ask for feed when gets awakened
at one time feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will keep baby full for longer
if passing adequate urine is active alert and gaining adequate weight then do not worry

Author of questionMom of a 1 yr 2 m old boy1 Year agoA. One more thing. When we try to make the baby sleep by rocking, he sleeps peacefully in the handheld position or on lap, but as soon as we try to put him on bed, he wakes up and starts crying. How to make him sleep on bed?
