Cold most of the time is a  viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine  which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and  according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if afny  fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature anhd the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours  if required .

Wikoryl Give us 2.5 ML twice a day to your child and three days minimum five days maximum apart from that you can give steam to the child but still if it has been there for sometime I suggest to start with antibiotics only after consulting a doctor
