Hello Dr. my son is 9 month old and he is suffering from cough and nosy for 4 days.. he is no fever only cough and nosy due to this he is not taking milk properly... please help and suggest..

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viralv illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
