Q.

hello Dr. my baby is 3 month old at the age of 1 month on left hand bump of bcg vaccine is appear after some days it contains pus. At time of bath little pus remove so my mom express it out ,now that remaining bump is not going and pus is also not form in it ,pls suggest me what to do?

A. after painful vaccines like dpt which comes with pentavalent vaccine can cause swelling in the limbs which can continue for more than two months also. it does not require any treatment and should go away on its own. after vaccination ximmediately you shfould start applying ice as well as thrombophob gel to prevent such swellings from persisting
