Q.

hello Dr. my baby is 1 year 11 months old and suddenly since afternoon she is having 101 fever. we have paracetamol paediatric oral suspension I.p p - 100 drops medicine. how much quantity and how many times a day we need to give the baby. please suggest

A. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature. also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol.s higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation. after giving fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days andd then meet your doctor if it is not improving. keep the child in cool atmosphere
