hello doctor my son who is 8 years old suffering frm severe cough and congestion he gets fever with cold shivering on and off.. giving him meftal the fever goes down but it rises aftr few hours...

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. you can give paracetamol to the child for fever and this medicine can be repeated maximum 4 times per day.
it is given according to the weight of the child and according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever
important to do body sponge and give plenty of fluids to drink to pxrevent dehydration and decrease body temperature.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
higherx medicines for fever is required or not will be told by the doctor
