My son has cold n cough since 2 weeks. l had consult my doctor n given Moxclav 228.5 antibiotic n syrups.bt still he has running nose n cough.He is very poor in weight.plz suggest me with medication n health diet.

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a  viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated aftfer 6 hours again if required .

for cold and cough ,
first , keep your child well hydrated.
give luke warm water with pinch of salt , Turmeric powder in 2 tbsp quantity every 2 hours.
It would be best to apply Babyhug rapid relief rub on your child chest and back
or you can apply warm paste of roasted ajwain seeds and Cloves on chest and back of your child
