hello doctor my baby is 75 days old, she is having cold and mild cough, I was giving coldrix 0.3ml 3 times per day she didn't get cured again my local doctor suggested me to give phenergan syrup 2.0 ml 3 times per day... is it safe to give?? any other medicine suggestions please π

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine whicgih should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.g
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
