hello doctor my baby is 6 month 23 days old can I give him whole wheat aata halwa he loves to eat it can i add honey i stead of sugar pl suggest

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician2 years agoA. don't gi e honey before 1 year of age Sweetening of food/porridges are not recommended even it is with fruits, dates, etc because it might become a habit in no time and will be difficult to change.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. babies younger than 1 year old should not be given honey. Clostridium bacteria that cause infant botulism usually thrive in soil and dust. They also can contaminate some foods — honey, in particular.
