A. It's normal for newborn babies to spend a significant amount of time being quiet and not crying, especially when they are sleeping or calm. Newborns have different sleep and wake cycles, and they usually sleep a lot during the early weeks of life. However, it's also normal for newborns to cry when they're hungry, need a diaper change, or when they are uncomfortable. If your newborn is generally calm and content, it's a positive sign. Babies have their own individual temperaments, and some are naturally quieter than others. As long as your baby is feeding well, gaining weight, and meeting their developmental milestones, there's typically no cause for concern. If you have specific concerns about your baby's health or behavior, or if you notice any other unusual symptoms, it's always a good idea to consult with a pediatrician for reassurance and guidance. Newborns should have regular check-ups to ensure their well-being.
