Hello Doctor, My 1.4 yrs Son having cold from last 5 days, previously our Doctor prescribed him Recofast Drop but now it's not available in market, do I give Recofast Syrup? pls suggest

A. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful . Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used ifn a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is rgepeated frequently .
