Q.

hello doctor.. i had vaccinated myself for first covid dose yesterday and today i am feeling fever and some body pain amd i have already taken paracetamol, please advise it is safe for my baby to breastfeed him he is 4 months old.

A. absolutely fine..nothing to worry..I too had vaccine...i am also having 4month baby

A. hello. please continue with breastfeeding. WHO also suggested the same. We can breastfeed our baby after our vaccine shot. My experience - I had my first Covishield shot on May last week (my baby girl was 2months old), and within an hour, she had breastfeeding. No side effects and its completely safe. We will be very weak due to hand pain, fever and body pain. Have paracetamal dose on regular basis and someone in our home an take care of our baby (since we might feel difficult to carry her with hand and body pain). PLEASE CONTINUE with BREASTFEEDING after your vaccine shot :)

A. good evening I would recommend that for one or two days just avoid feeding the baby give your baby formula milk and after that you can resume feeding your baby again there is no problem
