Q.
He is suffering from cough last 10days, what I do ? pls give me some precautions

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracgdetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Give indirect steam to ur baby 2-3 times in a day and apply warm mustard oil with pinch of rock salt on the chest and feet of the baby to get relief from cough and cold.
Cover ur baby properly.
Continue to breast feed as it develops antibodies to fight with infection
