POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy6 months agoA. For ferrungal infection (fungal scalp infection), you can use Ketoconazole 2% shampoo (e.g., Nizoral, Scalpe+). Use it twice a week for at least 4 weeks. Keep the shampoo on your scalp for 5-10 minutes before rinsing.
For oral medication, you can take Fluconazole 150 mg (weekly) or Terbinafine 250 mg (daily for 2-4 weeks) as per your doctor's advice. For topical treatment, apply Clotrimazole or Ketoconazole cream on affected areas.
Maintain good scalp hygiene, avoid sharing combs, and keep your scalp dry. If the infection persists or worsens, consult a dermatologist for a stronger antifungal treatment.
