Q.

Generally paediatrician recommend iron drop for babies after 6 months age. but my paediatrician didn't recommend to give iron drops to baby . Will there be any harm in not giving iron drops. or should I give

A. it is very important to give iron supplements to the child because the diet before 1 year of age is having very less amount of iron and it is very common that if the child is not given iron supplements the child will suffer from iron deficiency anaemia so better to cdontinue iron supplements given by your doctor. brand of iron medicine and dosage will be given as per child's requirement

A. Yes you are right but not all the doctors recommend because when the child is born they take basic test to know what are the levels of haemoglobin and all in the body so if they feel that there is a need to be given to the child with an iron supplement then only they’re going to suggest you otherwise vitamin D3 and multivitamin supplement is mandatory for one year after birth
