Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evhaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever ifs there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl3 years agoA. It Could be just you to discomfort of cold these things can happen when there is congestion in the chest and throat even if it is dry cough there can be a little bit of congestion in the chest and throat of the child that’s probably because of that only
