Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 6 yr old girl4 years agoA. it is normal for thebaby . It may be a normal thing for the baby and no need to worry for this . It may happen in some babies during this age group but if any problem remain then should consult a doctor near by for the examination of the baby .

The most probable reason your little babe is rubbing her face on you is because of a reflex all newborns have called a rooting reflex, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). This "rooting" helps her find the nipple when it's time for her to eat.
