Mom of a 2 yr 7 m old girl

Q. Diaper side effects - Blackish skin..?? I am using diapers full time for my baby girl who is 2.5 months old since her birth. so far I was using Pampers new born diapers but from last week have started using Pampers small size diaper pants. today I noticed dark skin on my baby's nappy area. Please suggest what shall I do to get her normal tone back and to avoid this in future? Could it be because of pants, diaper brand, etc?

A. It’s been 2 years since this is posted but still wanted to add my comment here so it could be helpful for others. My baby had no darkness in the thigh area until we were using pampers active baby. She quickly developed it after changing it to pampers small size pant that too which came in 45% discount. I don’t use diapers full time from her birth. Whole morning I keep her in cloth nappies and change to diapers only in night. Also I change diapers every 4 HRs in night. I also use a rash cream from abroad so I seriously doubt pampers small size pants. It’s with this particular packs or batches the problem exist.

A. Active pampers is good try to change the size from new born to small size generally larger sizes pampers are more comfortable. But surely full time diapers of any brand cannot save from diaper rash or dark skin . You must use diapers at night for convenience and day time cloth ones . Timing the kids urine time also saves a lot from mess and starts early potty training

A. it could be because of continue use of diapers its natural that it gets dark but still clean it well and give her some diaper free time. try cloth nappies for when she's at home at least
