Q.
Despite being kept baby for 2 days in phototherapy baby’s jaundice has not reduced?what could be the reason for jaundice recurring??

Mondira DasMom of a 3 yr 2 m old girl3 years agoA. This is quite natural and differs from baby to babies. My daughter is just 11 days old. Her bilirubin was 9.2 during her birth time. After 14 hours of phototherapy it increases to 10.6. Next day doctor told me that it's very natural nowadays. So no need to worry. It will usually go down by 15 to 20 days, u can take her home. Get her to sunlight (6-8am) in the morning by covering her eyes and face. Use only breast milk to feed. Till now my wife is doing well and my daughter is very fine and active.
