Q.

dear sir/madam due to constipation colex syrup (5mg/5ml) prescribed by doctor when my child was 2 year old and now he is about 3 year old and 2 ml dose is nor working so please suggest proper dose and please suggest is it safe or not.

A. it is advisable to meet your doctor because the dosage is given according to requirement Your child is having constipation for which kindly give plenty of water to drink and fibre diet made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits. Specially give papaya banana oats fennel seeds water it will help in decreasing constipation and even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipation medicine. it is important for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child. You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool

A. dear mother apart from using search allopathic methods for releasing constipation you must focus on natural remedies such as the keep your child well hydrated apply mustard oil on baby potty area make him set on legs as on Indian toilet it helps in releasing the motion easily along with that give papaya as well as curd is both of these are very good for releasing constipation
