dear doctor my son is 3 year and 6 month his always getting cold and cough .... every month need to visit doctor

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives megfdicine which hshould be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. hi it happens in two cases , first , your child is having low immunity or second ,he is allergic to something like dust, pollen etc so please check it. give Luke warm water to drink avoid giving cold and sugary food items frequently to boost your child immunity,give homemade healthy food . give citrus fruits more keep your child well hydrated give sunlight atleast 20 minutes a day.
