This is because honey can, very occasionally, contain a spore of a bacterium called clostridium botulinum. This can cause a rare form of food poisoning (botulism) in babies.

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl2 years agoA. After the age of one year yes you can give it to the child has prior to that it would not be recommended as per doctors raw honey can create infection into the stomach of the child which is why it is not at all recommended to be given to the child
