hi.. I'm a mother and a pediatrician... 
yes.. generally breath holding spells can occur from 6 months of age.. but it can start from 2 months of age.. keep ur baby on left  sidelying position.. if ur baby becomes pale during the episode,  it's ok..  if baby turns blue during the episode, it's an urgent indication to consult ur pediatrician.. start iron supplementation after consultation..
