Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. they are fontanelle and usually they will close by maximum 18 months of age and only sometimes by 2 years of age.
they are normally present in all infants and is important for the development growth of the brain
it is important to see that the child is not suffering from calcium and vvitamin d deficiency as well as the child is not having any other coomplaints because their deficiency is the common cause of delayed closure of fontanelle.
