Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and  if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion  it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medbvicine like alex cold/ havtric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

hi dear mom..keep babys head elevated  ..give indirect steam inhalation to baby  ...massage warm mustard oil on your baby's chest back and foot.  to make this oil heat the oil with crushed garlic ajwain and methi daana.  strain and apply warm to baby before bed time. always give prescribed medication and use Babyhug medicine dropper for same
