POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy7 months agoA. If your baby’s cough is not improving even after proper medication, you can try home remedies along with the treatment. Keep the baby hydrated with warm water, breast milk, or formula. Use a humidifier or keep a bowl of warm water in the room to maintain moisture and ease congestion. Gently massage the chest and back with warm mustard oil mixed with garlic. If the baby is above 6 months, give lukewarm water with honey and tulsi. Keep the baby's head slightly elevated while sleeping. Avoid cold foods and keep the baby warm. If the cough persists for more than 2 weeks, worsens, or is accompanied by breathing difficulty or fever, consult the pediatrician immediately.
