Q.

Baby didn't poop almost 1 week later after doctor consultation applied medicine in the area and poop went out.But again no poop in the following days.And also fart is very smelly.Is there any issue. is baby pooping regularise?

A. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day. If the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool. No medicines needs to be given in suceh a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard. It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age. intermitteent crying of the child is due to colic pain and not due to constipation.

A. Hai good evening !! Constipation is common in new born babies ,no need to worry for 3-5 days if baby is actively taking feed,without tight tummy,gas discomfort . Do tummy massage with warm castor or coconut oil gently massage for 10 minutes in clockwise direction with finger tips.
