#AskThemy child is suffering from cough since 15-20 days i an giving medicines but what is the problem

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with ganti allergic and expectfgorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and if baby is suffering with cold and cough for last 20 days then better to evaluate once with doctor in person and find out the exact reason for this as it should not be more than 7-8 days.
