Morning sleep will be for seven to eight hours split up into three or four naps. Night sleep can be around ten hours which again could be split up as u have to feed every two to three hours. Your baby should be peeing anywhere between six to ten times a day which means the baby is taking feeds properly. If not then make sure the baby is latching and taking feeds well or if ur milk supply is sufficient. Also there should be a gradual weight gain. Keep a check on these factors.
Breastmilk is the best brain developing food. WHO recommends exclusive breastfeeding until six months. After six months u can start with any of these weaning foods which are also brain friendly like apples, banana, avacado, sweet potato, carrots, pumpkin and oatmeal.
Keep interacting with your baby, make him feel safe, sleep well and help him engage socially. This will boost his brain.
You can show age appropriate books or flash cards and help ur baby learn new things. Babies grasp quickly at young age.
