use small head soft bristles age appropriate toothbrush along with rice grain size amount of kid's fluoride free toothpaste twice daily..
later after 3 years of age use fluoride containing kids toothpaste

from my personal experience,I would suggest Babyhug brand toothpaste and toothbrush for your child
the brush size is appropriate for baby's teeth and it has soft bristled so safe to use.
it's paste is free from harmful chemicals like sls and flouride.
