Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy11 months agoA. Continue vitamin D3 supplements until the child gets at least 10 minutes of sunlight daily.
Before age 1:
- 400 units: 1 ml daily
- 800 units: 0.5 ml daily
For proper vitamin D exposure, ensure the child is in sunlight for 10–15 minutes daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Stop the supplement if you can provide this sunlight exposure.
After age 1:
- 800 units: 0.7 ml daily
