Mam there is nothing called smart parenting the norms have changed a lot everybody believes in having polite parenting you should not shout at kids you should not hit them so the things have changed a lot but I do agree you should not hit them but of course scolding them is a part of parenting because if you give them leverage and give them everything that they want from the beginning itself then you are actually spoiling your child so every mistake that you can scold them and you have to make them understand properly what are the replications of good and bad things also with progressing if you need to learn to be friends with your child
