Q.

#asktheexperts . once my daughter got fits due to fever, when she was one year one month old. please tel me, will it come again ? is there any chance..? I am scared

A. this condition is also known as febrile seizures(fits/convulsions) many times prophylaxis medicines to decrease the chances of seizures is given by the doctor which may contain anti seizures medicine as well as anti seizures nasal spray. meet your doctor who will tell you how to use this medicines in an emergency. at the same time it is important to get the child vaccinated for all important idnfectious disease as well as flu vaccine which will decrease the chances of fever in your child this disease does not usually occur after completion of 5 years of age at the timxe of initiation of fever it is important to give fever medicines immediately as well as give sponge bath to decrease the chances of seizures.

A. some babies will have fits in fever which goes on its own as the baby grows.. take care.. follow the observing doctor . keep baby well hydrated.. water helps in maintaining body temperature
