#asktheexperts My son had started speaking his first words when he was 7 months old and was speaking clearly about 7-8 words till he was 1year old but suddenly after that he started babbling and forgot to speak all the words...Now he is 17 months old and still babbling and speaking 2-4 words like mumma papa mom ball etc I am concerned as why this sort of delay and stop in speech he had... Kindly help please...

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. there is no delay in speech baby is having normal in continue to interact to improve vocabulary and it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination and if it is need for appropriate investigations in this regard and far proper management of the problem
