Q.

#asktheexperts my daughter is of 6 months wat diet chart I need to follow to start solid food for her ???? can I give her cerelac n formula milk when n how many times??? do I need to start giving iron drop also??

A. Start by offering small amounts of solids once a day.. preffer day time to feed. Follow three day rule. Breastfeeding or formula feeding should continue alongside the solid foods, as they still form an essential part of the infant diet till 1 year. Give vegetables (eg pumpkin, potato, sweet potato, carrot puree) fruits (eg cooked pears/apple, ripe banana) . Moong Daal water, rice kangi. Ragi porridge, rice porridge. iron drops should be given after doctors consultation

A. Yes You can give both the things to the child that’s definitely good enough but separately not together apart from that you should go for rice Dal water porridge khichadi mashed banana mashed potato vegetable purée and vegetable soup pumpkin soup Suji items you know what is a ragi all these things can be given to the child and dairy products also you can give to the child and iron rocks are only supposed to be given when a doctor prescribes otherwise not
