#asktheexperts My child is 5 month old and she is not getting relief from cold and cough despite medication. Her xray & blood reports are normal. What should be done for relief from cough? She gets constant coughing in the night.

A. Hello good evening !!! It takes 5-7 days to relieve from cold, cough. As baby is five months old consult pediatrician and use medicine as prescribed by him. Give frequent breast feeds for hydration.. If you live in colder weather then avoid bathing daily do sponging put on comfortable clothes , cap socks for warmthness. Exclusive breast milk or formula milk is suggested untill 5 complete months.
