#asktheexperts my baby's birth weight was 3.12 kg. should be ideally gain 3 times that weight by 9 months or 1 year?

A. Hi Mom, as baby's weight growth depend on birth weight, hence on average baby gains 500 gm to 1 kg in a months, double at 6 months and triple at the age of 1 year. small deviation is absolutely fine. feed on regular intervals. maintain good hygiene. avoid force feeding and overfeeding.
