🔍 Possible Causes:
1️⃣ Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) – If fever persists, urine smells strong or foul, or the baby cries while urinating.
2️⃣ Dehydration – If urine is dark yellow and concentrated.
3️⃣ Mild Viral Fever – Sometimes, infections can cause temporary urine odor.
✅ What You Can Do at Home
✔ Increase Fluids – If your baby is on breastmilk or formula, continue frequent feeding. If older than 6 months, offer water, coconut water, or diluted fruit juice.
✔ Monitor Urine Color & Frequency – Less urine output or dark yellow urine means possible dehydration.
✔ Check for Other Symptoms –
Pain while urinating? (May indicate UTI) Frequent urination? (Sign of infection) Fever above 100.4°F? (Needs attention) 🚨 When to See a Doctor?
❌ Fever lasts more than 24 hours.
❌ Baby cries while passing urine.
❌ Urine has blood or strong, foul smell.
❌ Baby is inactive, irritable, or refusing feeds.
A urine test may be needed to confirm UTI. Meanwhile, keep your baby hydrated and watch for signs of discomfort. Do you notice any rash, vomiting, or diarrhea along with the fever?
