#asktheexperts my baby is 8 months and 1 week old, her mother is in police department and doesn't give so much time to the baby and breastfeed her only once in the morning and after 7 pm onwards 2-3 times , so what is the best substitute of mother's milk, I had tried formula milk too but my baby doesn't like that, she used to eat khichdi, Dalia, sabudana, dal roti and some times cowmilk and roti, kindly suggest

A. Avoid cow milk. Try storing breastmilk. breastmilk can be well stored In room temperature for 4-6 hours. But it's good to consume within 4 hours. That's safe. In fridge you can store upto 4-5 days. And in freezer you can store upto two weeks. It's absolutely safe. To feed heat a bowl with water and over that place another bowl with stored milk and heat it for few mins say 2-3 mins. Store breast milk in bottles made of glass or hard plastic with tight-fitting lids. Don't store milk in disposable bottle liners.
