A. baby is passing green colour motion Green colour stool is normal only,  If baby is passing urine minimum 6-8 times per day.  Don't give so much importance to motion unless blood in motion or bad smelling motion.   Consistently green stools in the breastfed baby can indicate an imbalance of foremilk/hindmilk,  often resulting in frothy green stools. ... Teething can also bring about green stools due to increased saliva.   A lot of green vegetables or something with green food coloring in mom's diet also cause green colour motion in baby.

A. Green poop in infants can be normal and can occur due to various reasons such as diet changes, introduction of solids, or digestive issues. Here are some common causes: 1. **Diet**: If your baby is exclusively breastfed, green poop can sometimes occur if they are getting more foremilk (which is thinner and more watery) than hindmilk (which is richer in fat). If formula-fed, green poop can happen due to certain types of formula or iron supplements. 2. **Introduction of Solids**: When starting solids, especially green-colored foods like spinach or peas, this can temporarily change the color of poop. 3. **Digestive Issues**: Occasionally, green poop can be due to a mild stomach bug or a digestive issue, but this is less common without other symptoms like fever or diarrhea. If your baby seems otherwise healthy, is feeding well, and doesn't have other concerning symptoms, you can typically monitor the situation for a few days. However, if the green poop persists beyond a week or is accompanied by other symptoms such as fever, vomiting, or significant changes in behavior, it's advisable to consult your pediatrician for guidance. They can help determine if any further evaluation or treatment is needed.
