Q.

#asktheexperts my baby is 3 months old and used to take 90ml feed per session. however since Sunday he takes less feed like only 30-40ml and also stays without feed for as long as 5 to 6 hours. he sleeps and poops normally. does tummy time and bicycle exercise but i feel he has lots of gas as he does not take feed after 2 to 3 hours like before. and he does not burp much when I burp him after each feed. is this normal ?

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment.s if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake.s if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about the sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child x
