#asktheexperts my baby if 3.5 months is having constipation. he puts a lot of pressure while passing motion and very hard solid poop comes out that too minimal. which medicine can we give

is there any medicine or probiotic, we can opt

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. normally hardness of the stool is not seen when you are giving only breastfeeding to the child.
it is advisable to continue only breastfeeding and nothing else till completion of 6 months of age.
if still the hard stool continues you have to visit the doctor to find the cause.
but if you are giving formula milk then there is a possibility that ttthe milk is not properly digested by the child and you will have to change the brand of formula milk.
also do not give any food to the child except milk at this age.d
