#asktheexperts my 20 months old son has blocked nose cough and cold pls suggest something for instant relief from blocked nose and cough although i gave him asthakind junior syrup which my pediatrician recommended there is no use to him any home remedy also suggest can we give him honey n ginger at night ?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever.
Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants .
steam inhaxlation would be beneficial .
Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold can be given in a propxer dose according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
