#asktheexperts my 17m old has cough due to which his sleep is getting disturbed dr advised to give chericof what else I can do n how many days will it take to get cure pls help

A. 7any cough most of the time either it could be allergic or infective which needs proper evaluation. initially you can start by giving steam inhalation to your baby which will help in relieving symptoms to some extent and will make the baby comtfortable.for small baby should be given indirectly from a distance.cough suppressants are usually avoided in children,it needs to be examined first before giving any kind of medicine. so it will be better if you consult your doctor for proper guidance along with proper dosage for the kind of problem.
