Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeacdted after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children4 years agoA. good evening as an emergency medicine you can give calpol or paracetamol to the baby I would not recommend you to start giving antibiotics to the child without consulting your doctor
