1 Answer

A. Yes, drooling and foaming bubbles are completely normal for a 3-month-old baby. At this age, babies start producing more saliva as their salivary glands develop, but they haven't yet learned to swallow it efficiently. This leads to drooling and sometimes foamy bubbles.
Why Does This Happen?
✔ Normal Saliva Production – Babies begin producing more saliva around this age.
✔ Oral Exploration – They are discovering their mouth and may blow bubbles.
✔ Teething Signs – Though rare at 3 months, some babies start teething early.
✔ Immature Swallowing Reflex – They don’t yet know how to handle excess saliva.
When to Be Concerned?
⚠ If drooling is excessive with choking, difficulty swallowing, or breathing issues – consult a doctor.
⚠ If there's a rash around the mouth due to drooling, keep the area dry and use a barrier cream.
Otherwise, drooling and foamy bubbles are just a normal part of your baby’s development!
