#asktheexperts I have 2.6 yrs old daughter, suffering from constipation problems, which medicine I have to give

A. at this age the child should pass stool regularly. if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation. give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child it is important to give fibre diet from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits avoid giving more than 400 ml milk everyday and avoid giving packet and processedz foods as well as biscuits and refined food adding papaya , fennel seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapplez banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation.

A. Prune juices best to be given during the night time before the child goes to sleep and apply little bit of castor oil around the navel of the child that also really helps a lot in releasing constipation and you can start the day with a glass of warm water for the child and try to include papaya every day
