#asktheexperts Hi my son is 4 months old and since last two times he's been going extremely dark green poop. what could be the reason.

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. reason can be different.. Certain brands of formula milk resulting in green poop.
or Imbalance in foremilk and hind milk also causes green stools.
or If your baby is on iron supplements than his/her poop can be dark green in colour

Sowmya MMom of 4 children3 years agoA. hello actually it completely depends on your food intake like suppose if you are taking lots of green leafy vegetables and feed your baby it comes in the form of breast milk for your baby and sometimes it might be due to the cold also just check observe the baby if your baby is having cold check with your doctor at once
